Born and raised in Ottawa, I caught the teaching bug from my mom — guess it’s genetic! — so it’s no wonder I educate people about their finances. If I think back, it really started in high school when I would feel compelled to explain & simplify complicated math equations to my classmates who were struggling. Witnessing the relief and excitement wash over their faces when they finally got it had a profound impact on me and I knew I wanted to continue being responsible for creating that moment for others. And now I’m lucky enough to do that every day.
Close enough to deeply understand your situation, yet still a neutral third party, my perspective prevents emotion from taking over when it comes to money. Wall Street can be volatile; it’s normal for investors to panic when the markets yo-yo. However, it’s my job to offer wider context and advice that will prevent poor investing decisions during these moments.
Guiding clients to live the life they want through solid financial planning and providing peace of mind is personal for me. There are no words to describe the pride and gratitude I feel when I know I’ve helped someone retire earlier (and more comfortably) than anticipated, or pay off their debts and still buy a house.
It would be selfish of me not to share my knowledge and demystify finance while helping capture your dreams. I truly connect with each client and develop a trusted, long-standing relationship. An East Coast transplant now out West, clients soon become friends and then quasi-family. Their success is my triumph.
